Give your diet a healthy punch with Asparagus.

Asparagus is low in sodium, low in calories and contains no cholesterol. Asparagus is a great source for antioxidants, folate and potassium. Asparagus is a must have for pregnant mothers.
If you have never tried asparagus, or you consider it one of your favorite foods, there is no better time to give this mighty vegetable a shot; March is peak season for this commodity. Grown in Peru, these cases weigh in at 11 pounds (with exception of the tips) and we currently feature four sizes of green Asparagus (Standard, Pencil Thin, Large and Tips -- 3+ inches at the top of the spear!) and one standard size of White Asparagus. White Asparagus grows and eats smoother than green varieties, but is less common than the others.
Asparagus is one of only two products in our warehouse that can sustainably grow annually; the other being rhubarb.
