On-site Freshcut Program
Our fresh cut teams work around the clock dicing, slicing, chopping and juicing to bring our customers the freshest cut product possible. We will cut any fruit or vegetable to our customers’ specifications. Don’t have time to shred those carrots? Call us!! We can dice and coin cut carrots also!! Need to dice a ton of celery? Quantity is not a problem for our team. Do you have stir-fry on the menu but have no time to cut the product? We can help!! Our culinary consultant can also put together special blends to enhance any menu.
The majority of our fresh cut products are vacuum-sealed. Our “hard kyrovac” packaging is synonymous with freshness and extended shelf life. Our products are packaged in 5# bags for our customers’ convenience.
Food safety is a #1 priority at Kegel’s Produce. Our quality assurance team has the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program in place to eliminate the potential of any contamination. Many of our team members are HACCP certified and we are working towards complete facility certification. Our facilities are audited and monitored by the ASI, a nationally recognized food service inspection industry leader with over 70 years of experience. Our refrigerated fruit room and refrigerated vegetable rooms are cleaned three times daily to guarantee a clean working environment. Samples of fresh cut products are sent to a state certified lab weekly for analysis and testing. The team at Kegel’s Produce takes its commitment to food safety very seriously.
